- 5 medium sized potatoes (cubed)
- 1 medium tomato
- 1tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
- pinch of hing/asafoetida
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp coriander cumin powder
- 1/4 tsp garam masala
- 2 cups water
- salt to taste
In a pressure cooker, heat some oil. Add mustard seeds and let them crackle. Add hing and pinch of chilli powder. Add ginger-garlic paste and fry till raw smell is gone. Add the chopped tomatoes and rest of the spices. Next, add the cubed potatoes and 2 cups of water. Cook it for 3 whistles.
Potato curry is ready to serve.
