Chai time puri


  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp semolina
  • 1 tsp ajmo/carom seeds
  • 2 tbsp cream
  • salt to taste
  • oil for deep-frying


Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl, mix well and knead into a stiff dough using little water.

Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each portion into a bite size thin circle.

Prick the circles using a fork.

Deep fry until golden brown. Drain excess oil using kitchen paper towel.

Cool completely and serve with hot chai.
