- 1 1/2 cups sev/ gathiya
- 2 1/4 cups tomato cubed
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
- pinch asafoetida
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 1/2 tsp coriander-cumin powder
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- salt to taste
Heat the oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds and let them crackle, add asafoetida and add the tomatoes. Add all the spices and mix well. Let it cook for 10 min or till the tomatoes are soft. Add 1 cup of water, mix well and cook on medium flame for 5 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Remove from the flame, add the sev/ gathiya and mix well.
Ready to serve Sev Tameta sabzi. Enjoy it with chapatis.
