Gajar Halwa

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups grated carrot
  • 1/4 cup melted ghee
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk powder
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom  powder
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp almond flakes

 

Preparation:

Heat ghee in a pan, add carrots, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 10 min. Add milk powder and milk, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 5 min. Add sugar, mix well and cook on a medium flame for  5 min, while mixing continuously.  Once the milk evaporates and the carrots are cooked, switch off the flame and add cardamom powder and mix well. Garnish with almond flakes and serve warm or refrigerate it in an air-tight container till serving.
